Our Programs Include:
KATS offers any type of after adoption services including birth parent search, post adoption counseling and any areas/issues that are related adoption.
Individual or Single Family Trip: KATS/K.I.M. will provide a range of services including assistance in doing a birth search, setting up trip itineraries, selecting translators and/or travel guides while in Korea, making travel recommendations or directly escorting individuals/families to Korea.
Family Vacation Trip: KATS/K.I.M. will facilitate a small group experience for families with younger children. This is a one week trip focusing on a fun-filled, relaxing Korean experience. We will visit historic sites, parades, shopping and many "Kid friendly” sites.
Homeland Tour: This trip is for adoptive families with children in their pre-teens and teens that may or may not be interested in meeting birth parents, birth sites or conducting a birth search. This program includes touring orphanages and unwed mother's homes and several historical sites, food tasting, Korean music, visiting schools, meeting Korean teens and visiting a Korean adoption agency and Babies’ Home. Itinerary can be flexible and fun. This is a two week program that is more cultural tasting rather than a deep emotional time.
The Homeland Tour program is also for children and their families who desire the full range of birth search activities.
Adult Adoptee Tour:KATS/K.I.M. will provide a wide cultural experience for adoptees over age 18 who would love to travel to Korea with group of their peers or bring along a friend. It will include meeting other adoptees, visiting birth sites, adoption agencies, and conducting birth family searches.
This program can be combined with an InKas two-week Summer School Language Program, which is held the first two weeks of August each year
Women's Service Mission Trip:KATS/K.I.M. is providing you a chance to give back for the first or fifteenth time. This is a working trip as well as a cultural experience. You will volunteer in babies’ homes, orphanages, community centers and unwed mother's homes. You will also have plenty of opportunities for shopping and wonderful Korean cultural experiences. This 10-day trip is open to Adult Women, including Mothers, Grandmothers and
College age daughters,
Korean Language School: The InKas Language School program provides an opportunity to learn Korean in a fun way. The program is connected with large Korean universities and includes living in a dormitory, having a room mate and meeting Korean young adults. This program is for kids over 18 and any collage age or young adult adoptees.
Mother & Daughter Korean Service Trip:
Who: 12-15 moms and college-age daughters or granddaughters.
What: Before you travel, we will collect projects, donated items and craft items for play projects with younger children. We will assist in the making of keep-sake items for the babies who are watiting to be adopted; gather craft items to make with unwed mothers and collect donations for the Rehabilitation Centers. This bonding trip is about learning Korean culture, cooking and eating experiences, sight seeing, shopping and more.
When: Annually, the first week of April, for 10 days.
Where: You will have the opportunity to choose your exact itinerary. Several adoption related organizations will be visited by the entire group and you may select other places for your free days. The Korean trip will include the opportunity to explore Seoul, Busan, Mount Sorak, the DMZ Chechu and others.
Why: This is an opportunity for you to give back. This trip to Korea will include providing a helping hand fin various Korean Babies’ Homes, Orphanages, Rehabilitation Centers and Un-wed Mothers’ Homes. It is more meaningful because your child could have been in these same situations. |
